Growing up in Maryland, I was waking up before the sun to start a day that included milking a herd of dairy goats, working at a turkey farm or exercise riding racehorses at the local track. As a result, I’m no stranger to the goings-on of a farm environment, its animals or the work involved to keep everything running smooth and efficiently.  I have over 10 years of experience in general construction, dealing with the building of new structures and restoration of existing establishments. However, over 18 years ago, I had a chance encounter that provided me with an exciting new career opportunity that shifted my work from the ground up into the trees. I have since spent my time since climbing trees and working as an arborist in the tree industry.  This work further influenced my passion for the conservation of native species and allows me to keep current with issues affecting trees and shrubs on a local and national level.
